Rosneft redrafts license for oil site for future JV with Equinor

MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft has redrafted the license for the Severo-Komsomolsky hydrocarbon site to its subsidiary SevKomNeftegaz, which is to become a joint venture with Norway’s Equinor, formerly known as Statoil, Rosneft said in a statement on Friday.

Rosneft and Statoil signed an agreement on cooperation in exploration and production of hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves of the field in May 2013, and signed a shareholder agreement on SevKomNeftegaz in September 2017. The Norwegian company’s share in the joint venture will amount to 33.33%.
